What is the scope of Everkin’s role?
Everkin provides strategic consultancy and coordinates business and family projects. It is not a law firm. Where a project involves legal services, these are provided by clearly identified lawyers or law firms, with professional independence and their own engagement terms. This identification also covers any legal opinions included in the initial assessment.
When should we speak to Everkin?
Ahead of a succession, reorganisation or business sale, even if you have not yet made a decision. An initial conversation helps us understand the situation and establish whether there is a project to develop.
Can you work alongside our existing advisers?
Yes. Clients can retain their existing advisers. Everkin coordinates the project and works alongside lawyers, accountants, consultants and other professionals, with clear responsibilities for each part of the work.
How are the scope and fees agreed?
The proposal identifies the scope, deliverables, timetable, responsible providers and engagement terms for each part of the work, including any legal opinions and other legal services. Fees and any extension of the work are agreed with the client in advance.
How is the information we share handled?
We treat information confidentially and limit access to those who need it for the agreed work. Sharing with advisers is coordinated with the client. The lawyers involved remain subject to their professional duties of confidentiality.
